Julie Blogged her way through Julia's cookbook. Do you think I could blog my way through Zumba classes for one year? My friend introduced me to Zumba and I was instantly hooked. It's uplifting and I could use a little uplifting. Not because anything in my life is wrong or depressing, but because I find myself stuck in a cycle: I'm so tired, I'm not going to exercise until I'm not tired, I won't be alert until my kids quit bugging me in the middle of the night, I have to wean Quinn from night time feedings, but I'm too TIRED! Being tired affects me as a mother - I feel like my kids only know a forgetful, slow-moving mom. Anyway, a couple of weeks ago my friend took me to Zumba and I thought, "When did I quit loving myself?" I was having so much fun and realized what a contrast that was to how I normally felt. So I went again this week. I am not cut out like the Zumba chicks teaching the class so please do not entertain any thoughts of me dancing like a hot Latin Chica. So I love Zumba because I don't feel like anyone is watching. And because it's great exercise. And because I laugh and have so much fun. Tuesday the instructor said depending on your fitness level you can burn up to 1200 calories doing Zumba...fantastic!

Sweet Hannah wanted her hair curled in sponge curlers for church. I don't have sponge curlers, but I told her I would try using socks. I knew that bag of mismatched socks would come in handy some day.

This was at the end of the day because I didn't think to take a picture this morning. Anyway she had a cute clip and she loved it and so did I.

Duck Creek Trip

Sunday drive, we had a great time in the canyon. Their pose really says so much about their personalities!

This is Navajo Lake, or as the kids called it "The Sea". Raegan couldn't avoid getting wet and mentioned her regret that she didn't wear her swimsuit. She fixed that as soon as we got home. Hannah skipped rocks and Cameron and Scott went for a walk by the sea. That was a cute pic.

This railing had way too much space between the bars, don't you think?! It was like a 5,000 foot drop on the other side. Cedar Breaks is pretty amazing. Cam said he wanted to just slowly walk down the side. Are you crazy?!

I'll give you three guesses...It's not ear wax. I'll give you a clue: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory...Violet Beauregarde...Still don't know? BUBBLE GUM! IN HER EAR! I have been reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to the kids and in two days two kids have put gum around the ear area. One child on the neck in the back, the other in her ear. They have seen the movie numerous times and that didn't help either. I look at movies and TV differently now that I am a parent. Movies give kids all kinds of ideas.

First day of School

Before school starts we take the kids and head to blue bunny for a little ice cream. The kids really enjoy the ice cream. The other pictures are of the kids on their first day of school. I don't think I have met anybody as excited for the first day of school.

Tooth fairy

Hannah has been working at getting her most recent tooth out for about 2 weeks before she was finally able to pull it out herself. I had to promise on my life that I would not pull her tooth out. Well she finally pulled it out and she was excited to have the tooth fairy come, but that night the tooth fairy must have been on vacation because she forgot to come. The next morning Raegan came running in to bedroom and told mom and dad that the tooth fairy did not come. Mom and dad looked dumb founded. We thought of everything since this was not the first time this has happened. The only thing we thought of that worked was maybe she came by and you were not asleep yet. Luckily it worked. Along that note they always say that after the third kid you can handle 6. Well, some woman said that because dad watching three kids at church while mom is out feeding the baby is impossible. You can not feel the spirit at all and next week I think I will bring the hole bag of pretzels just to keep them quiet.

Jami's corner: In my defense, I have just taken on a whole new life. I was very sorry about the tooth fairy issue.

We have come up with a name that everybody seems to like. Quinn Elliott Jeppesen was born at 7:46 am this morning he weighed 8 pounds 13 oz. and was 20 inches long. Jami and Quinn are doing great and we appreciate all of the prayers that were given in their behalf. Stay tune for more pictures to come.

As we are preparing for another addition to our family we thought we would look at the last couple of months and see what we accomplished. The baby ticker says 12 more days but the doctor was kind enough to move it up a week which Jami is so happy for since we both think this will be our biggest baby. For the record our smallet was 9 pounds. We still haven't decided on a name but we are leaning towards Elliot, Parker or Quinn.

There was a pregnant elephant at the zoo. Elephant gestation is 18 to 24 months... Are you kidding?! How are they not extinct?

Jami and the kids took a vacation and visited Grandma and Grandpa Moody (best vacation destination I know of). They took great care of me and showed the kids a great time. We visited the copper mine and nearly were flooded out. We had a great time, though. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa! More pictures of our trip to come...

There are many ads out there that often catch the eye but we never give them a try. One we finally tried and Jami and I are firm belivers. Having kids is a great trial and one of those trials is trying to get them to brush their teeth every night? In comes agent Blue. If you have never tried this you should. Our kids run to the bathroom when it is time to brush teeth. The other picture is to prove that sometimes the husband does gain a little weight while their wife is going through pregnacy. We only have until July 15th.

The kids always choose activities for FHE that create the most laughter. This is one of their favorites. We sang "You Are My Sunshine" several times and giggled the most when Scott took a turn.

Here are a few pictures of our Easter weekend. There was an Easter egg hunt at the park in Washington but the only problem was that they did not have any eggs. It was more like a mad rush to pick up as much candy as you can. One thing we learned this year about easter egg hunts is that as soon as you are done finding the eggs the kids are asking to do it again. Oh by the way we found out that the baby no longer is an it. We are having a baby boy and Raegan cried when we told her. She wanted another girl.

emergencey prepardness

Jami and I have been trying to get prepared for the future which involves emergency preparedness. My idea has been to purchase a pickup and a tent trailor and the reason for this is we can leave the trailor pack at all times and if we had to leave our home in a hurry she would be able to get the kids ready while i hooked the trailor to the pickup and loaded the pick up with all of our emergency supplies. Examples of emergency supplies that require a pickup that could not fit in a van are dutch ovens, grills, water, food and other supplies that may have to be left behind because we do not have enough room in our van. Jami says i have a good argument but she would like to get a piano first which brings me back to my argument we need a pick up to transport a piano because it will not fit in a van.

We just want to thank you for letting us come and crash at your house for a few days we had a great time. Jami and the kids are spending spring break in Salt Lake and they could not of picked a better week. As you all know it is March Madness and I love to watch basketball and since BYU is already out Go Utah State Aggies.

Our kids have found a new place to go on picnics. Cameron thinks we should move out of the house we are in and move to the rocks. While we hike he points out all of the hiding spots he could have and also points out were he could sleep and were the rest of us can sleep. This is how we spent our sunny days in St George while most of you had snow or cold weather. Love you all and can't wait to see some of you this weekend.

Most of you know that all of our kids were born in February so Jami and I are so excited to see March here. The kids are all one year older and still getting into everything. Here are a few pictures. Yesterday was Hannah's birthday. It is hard to imagine that she is already 7 years old. Today was her birthday party with her friends and she had it at the pool. Sometimes we wonder why we had all of the kids born in the same month. That usually does not last long when they all start to fight over the toys and we think to ourself we only have a week in a half and they will all be over with. Jami often wonders what I do at work so I will tell you. Depending on the day it usually goes like this; Scott could you please take line 1. It is a lady that lives at where i work, do I really need to take all of these pills nurse response yes your doctor ordered them and you need them for your blood pressure. A page over the radio Scott could you please go to room 107 I go to room 107 and the resident ask me to look in the toilet yes what a pleasent site. This is not all I do at work but after visiting with my boss we have talked about making a list of all of the different types of pooh that we have both seen in our healthcare profession. I am sure we all can make a list if you have little kids at home. Oh that is my q cameron is yelling dad i am done. If you do not know what that means it means he needs his bottom wiped.

Hello we were wondering if anybody new how to take finger nail polish out of sheets and blankets and mattress. You would think we would learn. Went in to check on Raegan and smelled a funny odor. It is too quiet

Sunday night Cameron is in bed fast asleep and Raegan is on her way or so we thought. After three kids you would think that when it is that quiet that quickly something is going on. We did not have to chase Raegan back to her room 100 times we thought because it was Sunday that maybe she was really tired and she was asleep. So I went back to go to the bathroom when I saw Raegan. The terrible twos are alomost done we hope. Enjoy the pics.

Why most of Utah is suffering with the cold we wanted to just let everybody up there now what the Jeppesen' s are doing. We had a ward change and Jami is teaching Relief Society and I am the 1st counsler in Elders. We hope and pray everybody is doing well.

Well we wait all year long and it is all over now. Christmas at the Jeppesen home was great. December is always a busy time of year. We have Jami's birthday, Hannah's dance recital, and of course Christmas. And who new we would have enough snow this year to build a snowman. This past year has been a great year and we have truly been blessed by our Heavenly Father.

Thanksgiving was spent in Idaho this year and a great time we had as you can tell by the pictures. Our kids could not get enough of grandma and grandpa and the cousins. Thanks to the cousins for having all of the cool toys to play with. Some of you may of heard a rumor that we are expecting our fourth. Well it is true hopefully the saying is true that after the third the fourth is a piece of cake. It was great seeing everybody during Thanksgiving break.
